Every Summer, I take a holiday at the beach. I love the natural beauty of the ocean, and all the creatures that call the tides pools, dunes and water-worn piers and jetties their home. Inspired by the amazing, organic textures gleaned from the shoreline, I’ve been hard at work on a new collection of enameled wearables for my other shop, LiaBowenStudio on Etsy.
Each of these Barnacle rings is made form either copper or fine silver metal clay, fired and then enameled to look like the real thing. A tiny white freshwater pearl completes each piece. Still to come: a naturalistic mussel shell, starfish and variety of lady crab.
If you stop into the Thatched Cottage
on Main Street in Doylestown, PA, you can see a few of my pieces in person. Among the collections of desireable items housed in this lovely shop are a few of my Revolú bracelet sets, the Luna moth pendant with some earrings and stackable rings thrown in as well.
If you are in town, stop by and check them out! While you’re at it, swing by one of my favorite places, The Mercer Museum
, as it is only a stone’s throw away.
These stackable rings are like bright little sugar-polished candies. They are all fabricated from sterling silver (.995), though a brushed copper ring (and accenting copper millgrains) have snuck into the mix.
Both of these sets will be hitng Etsy sometime next week, so check back soon! The rings are made to order (shipping within 1 week) or ready immediately for fingers sized “lucky” # 7 (or British size “O”).
